Sigur Rós Summershows and a Film 7. júní 2006 11:16 Sigur Rós "A film crew will accompany us on the whole tour and we are going to make a live-show documentary out of it" says Orri Páll Dýrason, the Sigur Rós drummer in an interview with Fréttablaðið. The band will play eight or nine concerts in Iceland this summer at various locations, dates have not been planned out as of yet. However, it has been decided that the biggest show will be an outdoor event at the Miklatún park in Reykjavík at the end of July. Orri says that Sigur Rós didn't want to make a traditional rock 'n' roll film and therefore decided to film in Iceland and allow the music and local people to play the biggest part. "We have played this program for so long now and we wanted to document it," says Orri. "We don't know when we will tour again and this could be the last time that we tour with Amina and the visual show that we have been using. We have no idea what comes next," says Orri. Die hard Sigur Rós fans from abroad are expected to flock to the island this summer to see them perform. For those left at home Sigur Rós plans to broadcast the Miklatún event to twenty movie theatres in Europe and America. Sigur Rós will soon announce the dates and times, so stay tuned. -hbv News News in English Mest lesið Féll til jarðar rétt eftir flugtak Erlent Sonurinn sefur enn með kylfu undir rúminu Innlent Segir þaggað niður í starfsfólki og hyggst ekki snúa aftur Innlent Fundu 1,7 tonn af kókaíni í kafbát á miðju Atlantshafi Erlent Tali ekki fyrir unga Miðflokksmenn Innlent Harpa Elín Haraldsdóttir er látin Innlent „Menn eiga ekki að vera að hnýsast í gögn sem þeim koma ekki við“ Innlent Eltihrellir lögreglukvenna situr inni fyrir morð Innlent Lögreglan innsiglaði Flóka Innlent Stefnt að leiðtogaprófkjöri eftir áramót og kunnugleg nöfn mögulega í pottinum Innlent
