No Delays Despite Strike

Despite a strike held yesterday by employees of IGS (Icelandair Ground Services) between 5 am and 9 am there were no major delays of flights at Leif Ericsson's International Airport. Check in proceedures went off smoothly due to work managers whom stepped in for the disgruntled employees. They cite the reason for the strike being low wages and high work stress. All the workers protested in the check-in area and even employees that are taking their summer vaction, so they could show complete unity in this matter. Another strike will be held next weekend if no resolution is reached by then. -mld
